I recently has a discussion with a neighbour of mine who daughter was in senior secondary school (SS2). I asked her if her daughter had the current West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) school certification exam syllabus. The answer was no.Then I asked the girl, do you know about the syllabus and senior school certification exams? The answer I got was an unconvincing yes.
The girl is just 14years old and could be forgiven but for the mother I think she has more to do than just saying, I payed for her school and lectures. She need to do a follow-up.
Parents went to school and they know what is obtainable. Dont think the educational system has changed, it’s same old curricula with 1 or 2 things added.
Their schools and lectures are trying their bests but for your children to have the best really depend on you completing the circle. Making sure they do their assignment, finding out what they need, providing and making sure they use them.
This will guarantee a bright future for them.
