Everyone understands how uncomfortable it can be when they are “down” with fever especially in children and infants. But, there are some natural steps that can be taken to ensure that the fever is eradicated overnight. It’s a natural phenomenon to “come down” with a fever due to some certain conditions like infection and some times stress. Why spend your money on drugs while the solution is in your home.
The Steps to Get Rid of fever Overnight
For humans, the body temperature should be usually around 98.6 degrees fahrenheit or 37 degrees celsius. Most doctors define fever as when the body temperature reaches 99.5 degrees fahrenheit or 37.5 degrees celsius. These are the steps to follow:
- Prepare two pairs of socks – one made of cotton and the other one made of wool.
- Wet thoroughly the cotton socks with water and squeeze out some water to avoid wetting the bed. You can either use damp or wet, depending on how protective you with the bed from getting messy due to water.
- Put on the WET cotton sock FIRST on the child’s feet.
- Next, put on the wool sock on top of the cotton sock. Wool sock MUST BE DRY.
- Put the child to bed and let the child sleep as they are usually tired.
If it is hard for them to sleep on the daytime, you can also do the same steps at night. Remember that it is best for them to have lots of liquid to avoid dehydration. Kids usually lose appetite when sick.
Well, I usually share this with friends and get the look of blank stare. Like they can not believe there are some natural way of healing sickness. I do understand that parents are protective of their kids and so do I. But healing is part of our body. Our body heals in a natural way and we only need to help it heal with natural ways as well.
