Running on the zebra.

It is true to say that where there are no laws, anarchy prevails. It is also right to say that where there are laws and there is no enforcement, anarchy prevails. Human beings need to be put in check at every point in time until they have attained a level of maturity which puts them in a league of extra ordinary humans, humans that no longer need to be told what to do, they just know. Humans who do not need to be watched or cautioned or chastised.

However, as long as that level has not been attained, law must be relied upon, and that law must be enforced. It is not enough to have them in our books if an offender cannot be punished for his evil or wrong deeds to his fellow man, to the state, to humanity!

Iwish only to speak of one of such wrongs today, the zebra crossing!

I do not understand, why in a country where there are zillions of cars on the road with self proclaimed drivers a simple pedestrian will not be granted the opportunity of crossing the road…on the zebra crossing!

i find it quite amusing and indeed perplexing that pedestrians are forced to run on the zebra crossing to avoid being knoceked down.

It is a shame, what does it take for you to oblige your fellowman the opportunity of living in safety if you can help it? is it too much to ask, just a few seconds of your precious time?

If only the laws were enforced, then those who run over those running on the zebra, or those who run over the zebra without acknowledging those who want to dash across the zebra ought to be prosecuted!

A fine would do it, a ticket could do it, a small penalty, community service, anything at all to deter further acts.

Law is not there for child’s play, we need to enforce our laws and we wont be able to achieve this, if corruption persists.

Our’s is a comedy of horrors! We can stop the horrific laughter and act! We must!
