Security man, four others charged for stealing
A security guard and four other people were on Tuesday arraigned before an Abuja Area Court for allegedly stealing items from one Engr. Mazi Okorie Ambrose.
The accused persons, Yusuf Haruna, Yushehu Haruna, Nura Haruna, Abdullahi Haruna, Safiyanu Haruna of Mpape village, Abuja were said to have conspired among themselves and made away with working items valued at N237,000.
The Prosecutor, Musa Abdullahi, informed the court that the complainant reported to the police that the first accused person who is his security guard conspired with the others and one Hamza Haruna who is now at large and made away with his Gap pumping machine, one new door, plumbing fitting, plumbing machine, Battery, electrical filling, mode pumping battery and six pairs of aluminum window.
When the content of the First Information Report (FIR) was read to the accused persons, they pleaded not guilty and requested for bail.
Judge Lawal Manir granted each of the accused person bail in the sum of N20,000 with a surety each in like sum who must resides in the jurisdiction of the court.
The case was adjourned to November 15 for hearing.
