ARE YOU PREPARED TO SELL YOUR ‘BRIDE PRIZE?

The sweet coated tongue politicians are at it again, promising same old stories of improved education, good road network, stable electricity supply, youth employment and empowerment, good hospitals, rural development, poverty eradication and their likes. These they have been saying since the return of democracy. Sadly enough, these issues are still there and even worst. These sets of politicians are everywhere: Federal, State, Local and Word levels.

Come 2011, Nigerians will be going to the polls to elect ‘leaders’ or ‘looters’ that will pilot affairs of the State for the next FOUR years. I’m not saying 4 days. 1…..2…..3…..4…. years. These FOUR years will either take us backward or forward, depending on what we do with our VOTES. The corruptions we have experienced in the past were as results of what we did with our votes. We sold our ‘BRIDE PRIZE’ to these groups of politicians, and the results are what we have at present.

The National Assembly members that were ‘elected’ to make laws for the generality of the Nigerian People are busy legislating higher pay for their pockets. It was a shocking revelation by a past President that each member of NASS takes home an average of #250 Million annually( the highest in the world economy), while the Federal Government is foot dragging to pay Civil Servants a minor #18,000 as minimum wage per month. We can stop this madness through the ballot box.

The issue is, are we planning to sell our ‘BRIDE PRIZE’ in 2011?
