After all the jostling an hustling of pitiable Bornu State coppers, we all just retire home to nothing that can serve for good meals in the afternoon and evenings. The State says they can only support or insult us with a monthly allowance of a meager-1000 naira
Corpers are so mocked! This is one of the reasons our upcoming sisters and brothers in the universities don’t pray to join us. Predecessors speculate that this monthly allowance structure is a the current Governor’s means of punishing insultive corpers who once scorned his mode of speaking, during one of the swearing- in programmes organized for them. Corpers, why do we always have to mock the powers that be?
That action wasn’t right of course, see what it has caused several generations of corpers , one wonders how long we will suffer for what we directly did not do . Now the State’s allowance that is supposed to compensate the near to nothing we receive as federal allowance has been seized.
All our complaints have fallen to the ground of our orientation camps and we don’t know where else to turn for help. There is so much to plan for, yet so little to spend. Now we have to forfeit our meals. We just manage to take breakfast so we can be upstanding for our daily primary exercises.
Do we go back to our parents who had breathe a sigh of relief when we graduated from school, or do we go to relatives who are possibly ‘ like a world apart from us? What about those fending for themselves? The other day a boy had to compulsorily remain in the camp because federal and state allowance put together could not fare him down to his home.
Please who can save us from a helpless situation? Helpers are rare, we need saviors.
