The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and anti-HIV Community Development Service groups have been inaugurated in Bosso Local Government Area, Maikunkele.
They were established to further bring the aims and objectives of the Millennium Development Goals and the anti-HIV awareness campaign down to the grass roots with the help of hardworking and dedicated corps members posted to the Local Government Area.
The Local Government Inspector of Bosso Local Government Area, Miss Yohanna identified the need to create the CDS groups in the Local Government because of the large number of corps members who have to leave the community for neighbouring Local Governments Areas to hold meetings and undertake projects.
This development would bring the total number of CDS groups in Bosso Local Government to four including Tourism and the Road Safety CDS groups which were already in existence in the area.
Both MDGs and anti-HIV CDS groups have helped tremendously in improving the lots of Nigerian citizens and would no doubt do the same at Bosso Local government Area of Niger State.
