Do Your Home Work

Doing your home work is one of the most important personal development principles. Learn what you need to learn so that you can perform excellently well.

A major reason why self or personal development is always an issue and is often delayed is the feeling of inadequacy, laziness, lack of confidence and self pity. Feeling deficient in a single area is enough to discourage you from starting at all.

Personal development requires effort and patience. People, who are successful today do not sit on the couch waiting for things to happen. They took self development critical.

Larry King will not be a caster on CNN if he had overlooked the aspect of self development. I remember Larry King said has a little boy, he dreamt of being a reporter. He would stand on the highway, reporting about the cars that passed and situations on the highway.

Abraham Lincoln with his humble background did not back out in self pity or with the feeling of inadequacy, but strived to attain the height he had always dreamt of.

What I am saying in a nutshell is that personal development can be attained through constant reading and doing the first thing first. Every piece of information you gather every day in your circular and activity or every additional skill gain by doing things should not be ignored, because it can make an enormous difference.

Continually upgrade you skills in your major result areas. Remember, however good you are today, your knowledge and skill are becoming obsolete at a rapid rate. It is often said that “if you are not getting better, you are getting worse”.
