The earth is all about situations and troubles are clamped with these situations, but to walk and work worthy and perfectly, “Ask what He (Jesus) will do”
“For hereunto were ye called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow His steps” (1 Peter 2:21).
This simply means that we should do as Christ or we are suppose to do as Christ.
Now, ask Jesus and answer it within you, what He will do in you present situation(s).
There are many thing you were always ask to do by your friends, peer group and family members which you know they are good and can also at the same time be bad, you went forward to do it but unfortunately it did not favour you, why? Because you did not ask question, not to ask human but Jesus what He will do in such situation if He is the one. Everything has its advantage and demerits that is why you should ask someone who is perfect to direct you and to tell you what to do in each cases of your life. They are good, but how will He (Jesus) do it. Jesus does everything to bring glory to the Father at the end. You know how to write ABCD – Z and Jesus also knows how to do the same, but ask Jesus how He will do it to bring glory to the Father which is the duty of a man. You abide in Him (Jesus), so you ought to walk even as He (Jesus) walked. “He that saith he abideth in Him (Jesus) ought himself also to walk even as He (Jesus) walked.
The present situation in your church or your fellowship, if Christ is in such situation whether good or bad, what will He do and what will be His reaction, so that at the end it will bring glory to the father, ask such question and answer it within you. But have it in mind with the word from Jeremiah that “the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it”, so be careful in following your heart.
“If any man would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross DAILY AND FOLLOW ME. (LK.9:23)Your don’t do it because someone is doing it or someone has blessed you that day so you should do it happily and without feeling it or you should mess around because some one you trust so much has messed up, but do it daily and hold Jesus responsible with His words which He had said if your life did not change for good, it might take a long time, days, weeks and even years, but try to wrestle with God by faith.
“Be ye therefore imitator of God as beloved children, and walk in love even as Christ also loved you” our duty on earth is to do (be an imitator) of Christ. What are the things Christ has done on earth that we should imitate Him of? You know them, He gave to everybody, first His life, you can give your life back to Him, but to human learn how to give other things, He helped the oppress, He is always humble, even to the extent of eating with those Peter called unclean or sinners, what about you? “Righteousness shall go before him and shall set us in the way of His steps”. If you can be able to stand faithfully, He will surely direct you on how to walk in His steps and you will do exceedingly that which He Himself has done even when He was on earth.
In this situation(s) of my academic, “pay money before you pass my course” has became a normal thing in higher institution, what will be His steps if he is a student? He always walk and work to bring glory to the father, so work and walk to give God the glory, that is the answer. He was once a student and He did not bribe to pass the test nor did He think of failure, but His heart desire is to bring glory to the father at the end of all courses, that is while the devil wanted to bribe Him with beautiful kingdom, so that he can serve him (devil). But Jesus was so satisfied with only bringing glory to the father that is why He was able to pass through the hurdles.
No matter where the answer to your question “what will Jesus will do?” will take you to always take it by faith, and end it by holding God tightly with what He has said.
A father once told his small boy that if he will do a particular thing that he will give him biscuit, the boy did it at the right time, but when the boy met his father for the biscuit, he said, “you said” if I will do it you will give me biscuit”, the father view the phrase “you said” (which is simply, I said) in his heart, he brought out biscuit and gave to the son. The son was so faithful that definitely if he will do what the father has said he will receive the biscuit. For more reference on fathers promise and fulfillment read Mark 6: 21-27.
Finally the phrase “you said” is very important. Work and walk in his steps and get the reward and the dividends of being a faithful servant and you will never regret of working and walking in his steps
