A wise man said ‘WHAT YOU COMMIT YOUSELF TO ,WILL CHANGE WHAT YOU ARE AND MAKE YOU INTO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON.The futute conditions you,not the past.What you commit yourself to become ,determine what you are; more than anything that ever happened to you yesterday.Therefore, I ask you,”what are your commitments? Where are you going? What are are you going to be? Show me somebody who hasn’t decided, and I’LL SHOW YOU SOMEBODY WHO HAS NO IDENTITY,NO PERSONALITY ,NO DIRECTION.
When I was diagonised with an advanced stage of cancer OF THE BONE and given some few months to life ,I was disturbed and wanted to accept my fate.BUT I REMEMBERED all the dream talk I always had with my wife and the promise of the future of what I will do for her on her 40th birthday,50th birthday,60th birthday,70th birday,and WHEN SHE WILL CLOCKS 100 YEARS.Then rather than focus on the few months I was told i had to LIVE BY DOCTORS,I set my eyes on her 4oth birthday ,which then was 12 yeras away.AND THROUGHOUT MY BATTLE WITH CANCER ,MY WIFE WAS THE FOCUS.I ALWAYS REMIND GOD THAT I MUST FULFILED MY PROMISE TO MY WIFE.WITH TIME I EVEN FORGOT THE CANCER AND THE HEPATIS C THAT THE DOCTOR SAID I HAD.BUT TO GOD BE THE GLORY ,I WAS HEALED OF BOTH TERMINAL DISEASES MIRACULOUSLY.Why ?FOCUS.
FOCUS HAS THE POWER TO PUT YOU IN COMMAND OF SITUATION IF GIVEN THE CHANCE-NOTHING WILL EVER TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE UNTIL YOU SUBMIT TO IT.SO INSTEAD OF submitting to cancer,I submited to THE PROMISE I MADE to my wife AND EACH DAY WE TALK ABOUT PREPARATION FOR HER 40TH BIRTHDAY WHICH WAS 12 YEARS AWAY THEN AND WE NEVER made mentioned of the cancer situation and what the doctor said.I T WAS LIKE A CASE of a preacher whO was 107 years old in 2002 and was talking of a crusade he will have in 2012 IN LONDON DURING THE OLYMPICS.Eight years after,the preacher is still alive and come 2012 the crusade will hold as invitation is out already.CRAZINESS YOU CALL IT.NO,THAT IS WHAT FOCUS DOES.IT NEVER SEES THE PRESENT BUT THE FUTURE
Focusing on weaknesses instead of strenght is like having a handful of coins,a few made of gold, the rest of tarnished copper, and setting aside the gold coins to spend your time shining the copper ones in hope of making them more valuavle.No matter how long you spend ,they never worth what the gold ones are.So,see the future rather than the present.This is what FOCUS is all about.Therefore stay focused on your God-given strenghts
