PERSEVERANCE

The world we live in today is filled with stories, stories of success and failure. Stories of people who are ceebratedand have become beacons of hope and light for others to follow by reason of how they have been able to pull through and succeed in difficult times.

Perseverance is a subject often talked about but also often under estimated. The truth is that, to be successful in life you need to have the inner strength, the motivation and the ability to go through difficult times when they come. We must however be rest assured that the challenges will come.

When the chips are down and the going gets tough, the time arrives for us to reveal our inner resilience and our ability to conquer our toughest trials. You can do it, not necessarily because others have done it, but because it can be done.

We should be encouraged by people who we can refer to as champions of perseverance; people who have had to dig deep within themselves to forge ahead undeterred by opposition. People like Nelson Mandela, Wole Soyinka, the late Gani Fawehinmi and a host of others.

Perseverance is an exercise of endurance. It demans that we see the big picture, the light at the end of the tunnel, the end of the road that is just around the next bend.

Perseverance calls for determination,

The will to live,

Live above the rest,

Live to see the end of the test,

Live to beat your chest, live to fight another day
