THE PAST IS THE PAST, FORGET IT AND MOVE ON!

“Don’t let the negativity given to you by the world dis-empower you. Instead give to yourself that which dis-empowers you” Les Brown. Are you stuck because you are clinging to people and past situations that retard your progress. A healthy environment must include people who will support, encourage and stimulate you. If you want to position yourself for success then you must begin today, to build a support system that is based not onĀ  I remember when you used to… but on where you are now and where you intend to go.

Mistakes offer you the continual opportunity to learn and evolve without them there would be no growth, no reason for change. Your past is only a stepping stone to your future, so don’t stay there, don’t hold on to your mistakes. The past is where it should be, though you cannot change it, but you can do something about your current situation. All that matters is what you do right now, not what you’ve done in the past so keep moving and keep growing.

Life’s problems wouldn’t be called ‘hurdles’ if there wasn’t a way to get over them. so don’t cause yourself unnecessary pain by living in your past and its problems or by criticizing yourself. It achieves nothing, Be gentle with yourself, know your worth, The way you treat yourself is an example of how others will treat you. If you stand in judgment of who you are, it is inevitable that you will project that onto others. Be accountable, work on your progress. Release the pain of the past. Work on your progress.

Although, we all wish we could have a ‘do over’ for the many mistakes and misstepsĀ  we have made, but we can’t. We must live with the consequences, but we also should ask ourselves, what can we learn and how can we grow from them? You can’t have a ‘do over’ but you can have a ‘make over’ by embracing the lessons learned and using them as tools to reposition yourself today. Remember; He who spends time regretting the past loses the present and risks the future. Forget your past, deal with the present.
