I taking this topic from an insurer point of view. I have had the opportunity as an insurance executive to meet clients in order to sell insurance policies to them. The answer are almost similar in all cases. There was once a man I was to sell motor insurance to, he was plainly a difficult person. I kept calling him and he kept dodging me, until finally I was able to meet him but on meeting him he kept me waiting and told me that he wants to talk to people that will make money for him first, because I’m there to take his money. How embarrassing can this be to insurance executives.
But to cut the long story short, after much persuasion he yielded and decided to insure 4 of his cars! Well that was not the end of the story, it happened that this man had claim on one of those cars. It was a hit-and-run case, immediately this man began calling me, disturbing me as if the world is about to end. At the end of the day we paid his claim and he was happy.
