Oga you must pay the money,na we dey talk wetin dey happen for the park!..Have you ever heard this at a motor park in Nigeria?
It is simply appalling that in 2010,the group of “thugs” popularly referred to as “Agberos” still dictate to a large extent how things are done in various motor parks in Nigeria;passengers are forced to pay exorbitant fares at the parks because Agberos want a bigger percentage of the total money for the drivers;i distinctly recall a day when i was about to leave sapele,Delta state at about 4pm,on getting to the park,i discovered that the Agberos were forcing the drivers to double the usual fare,ofcourse there were no other parks around,so we had to pay double the amount.
The question thus arises:are the motor parks in Nigeria run by local councils or thugs/Agberos?
