All around me, I feel as well see evidence of a higher power at work in the lives of men. Men’s lives being ordered even in seeming dis-order. Coincidences (which we often taken for granted)…assistance from closer home than we could have imagined. There is a higher presence all around and in us that makes things happen…and though it works whether we acknowledge it or not, becoming sensitive to, conscious of, its activities…acknowledging its presence constantly can only enhance its activities in our favour. Not in our desire to ‘manipulate’ it or ‘use’ it as we are so used to doing with everything but the favour is in finding our true selves when we are what we are supposed to be…mediums, channels, instruments for this higher power to give expression…in fairly same way that a man cannot consciously determine his full physical height but can ensure reaching the full potential by consciously eating a balanced diet or is a flourescent tube being its true self if it attempts to manipulate or use the electricity that flows through it for its own purposes. Think about this.
The most rewarded people on earth today have something in common…they communicate something to the world. Actors, artists, musicians, comedians,scientists, clergy, sportsmen and women, politicians, businessmen, writers etc…they are in varied, unrelated fields of endevour but in the course of their activities they communicate something or the other of interest to the world.
You dont scramble to watch a Beckham or Tyson or Woods simply win, you want to see them communicate such qualities as skill, power, ability…you dont spend a fortune on a piccasso because his paintings are beautiful, you want to own the esthetic value which he communicates on that particular medium. You dont vote for your politician because he will do what he promises but because he has communicated something that you can identify with…and he has rehersed precisely for this and the society has communicated the need for leadership which the politician has played upon. You dont buy whitney houston just because you want to…she communicates feelings and thoughts that soothe you and make you feel. You dont watch movies because you have to…movies communicate a world of thought, feeling, possibilities, stimulate the imagination, stir your curiousity, entertain you etc…it communicates.
The internet is another universal medium of communication…and when fully developed (if that is possible) may be the ultimate medium of communication. We dont browse it just because it is there to browse, we want to communicate to everyone else in the world and be communicated with, we want to have access, we want to be anonymous and yet accessable if we choose to. The greatest feeling I have ever had on the internet was when I had anonymous access to something of value to me…I didnt want to be identifiable but I wanted to be able to access what I wanted.
So the site that will be king…is the site that communicates something of immense value to the world or the site that offers the instrument or tool granting anonymity by choice as well as access to value. Maybe a feeling of preserved or apparently preserve anonymity while providing a means of communication or providing access to value.
The internet is not just about putting information on it, transmitting, uploading or downloading information (which is what mostly obtains presently), its about communicating…if I can communicate something of immense value through the internet or if I can take something ordinary and communicate something of immense value…the site will be king and a success.
Idea: why not search for stuff on the net that is just lying there as information and see how you can make it communicate something of value.
