An essential part of manhood is being a gentleman. Young men should try to cultivate gentlemanly traits so as to enhance their game.
The truth of the matter is that being a successful businessman requires skills other than professionalism, including being a gentleman. I try to leave guys with basic rules to help them step up their life game. The following would come in handy when it’s time to access your inner gentleman.
BE POLITE, CONVERSE AND LISTEN: walk up confidently to a woman, look into her eyes, introduce yourself and strike up interesting conversation with her. In doing so, speak words and not sounds. Do not clear your throat or make any other sounds. Do not panic, fret, or display any of your nervous ticks. Instead, take a deep breath and speak coherently. Smooth lines work for some, but sincere conversation is more cherished by others. Be interested in things she likes other than taking her to bed. Women are tired of men who have only one thing their mind. Ask self revealing questions and really listen to her responses.
AVOID PROFANITY: when you are in the presence of a lady (girlfriend or not) do not use words like the F-word, N-word, “dude” “dawg”, and the likes. Keep your language decent and clean. Do not say offensive things.
APOLOGISE: to err is human…………We all make mistakes at one point in time or the other, or moments when we goof. Recognize such moments and take responsibility for your errors.
SPOIL HER A BIT: It also pays to spoil her, not only with calorie increasing chocolates and the likes. But by opening the door for her, pulling out her chair, filling her glass of wine first, or like in the movie “The Brothers” (starring Shermar Moore and Morris Chesnut), when you both share a meal, leave the last morsel of food for her.
