Some people say just is Jerusalem here in west Africa while others say is the Iceland in Nigeria but I say both, that make the city most highly visited by Tourists. It maintains an average height of 1,200m (4,000ft) above sea level, and reaches its highest peak in the Shere Hills where it stands at 1,766m (5,829ft) as the geographer will say the higher you go the cooler it becomes.
Jos was established in 1915 and became the capital of defunct Benue-plateau in 1967 later as capital of plateau state (1975). It has an equable climate with its average monthly temperatures ranging between 21° and 25° C (69° and 77° F), average humidity of 60% and average annual rainfall of 1,400mm

The Jos zoo, It has a good stock of animals, birds and reptiles and was established in 1957.
Aso fall this is a popular tourist stop for picnicking, swimming and enjoying the scenery. Assop Falls has also proved popular with people shooting local soap operas and advertisements
