JOURNEY THROUGH A SECRET ADMIRERS HEART
I have gone through some emotional attachments that seem to detach before I give expression to them. They fizzle out before I feel what they are made up of. They dry up because their roots cannot grow on the soft terrain of my nutrient filled heart. Apparently, they were infatuations, mere love at first sight.
But there is a new feeling exerting its presence in my heart, a deep look to see if it’s like others…………………alas it’s not.
It metarmorphosized for someone who cared for me even when I found it difficult recognizing her face each time our paths crossed. It was for someone who with broad smiles always said “good morning, how are you”. During the dark and dreary nights, your words of encouragement gave me courage to face the giants.
A step close to you each day tells me I have a place in your heart. Where would I start from? Your simplicity, humility, and broad smiles. All these qualities I have sent prayers to God to put in my woman, it not a coincidence to find them in you. My ribcage jumps at the sight of you telling me “she belongs here”
I am dotting these words on the paper to put in the prison of ecstasy or the island of daydreaming. But it is a way of expressing my feelings. My jewel, no price can tag your precious heart. If I would call you a color, I’ll pick the deepest of blue. Like a river settles in calm, the thoughts of you do fill my heart with priceless peace. Like the day follows the night, my heart chases after you. Like the sweet fragrance after rain, the times we spent together have been refreshing. You have got a hold on me and I don’t want to let you go. This love is like a mustard seed; gently it lies in soils of our heart. Unknown to so many around, time will nurture it, it will gain strength, sprout, thrive, and mature into an oak that will shade the weary, heal the wounded and mend the broken. In each other’s eyes we will find life, one wink will soar high confidence, a hug will give strength to move mountains.
Oh what peace I feel when I survey what we can’t see yet.
No valleys is too deep to fill
No roads too long to walk
No dreams too lofty that we can’t live
No rivers too wide to cross
As a matter of fact, as a matter of trust
We have nothing to fear as long as we are one.
