NIGERIA@50 – AWAKE OH YE SLEEPING GIANT

NIGERIA@50 – AWAKE OH YE SLEEPING GIANT

It is high time we face reality and take the future and destiny of our great nation serious. Nigeria is faced with a lot of challenges ranging from ignorance toward what we are blessed with as a nation, lack of proper implementation of our God-given resources, battered image before the international community, poverty and corruption, human trafficking, bad and selfish leaders, saboteurs and haters of the nation and her progress and above all, the Supreme God is not acknowledged.

The solution to these challenges and problems lies in the scripture which says “if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn away from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”

According to the above scripture certain things are required of us by God, and these are:
1. To humble ourselves: in doing this we acknowledge God as Supreme over all, the source of all good, the controller of all events and the possessor of supreme power. We acknowledge that He is the one who has made us what we are as a Nation, that He is the one who has made some leaders and others followers, some rich and others poor. And that He is the One with Whom all things are possible even the brighter and better tomorrow we all seek.
2. Pray: by praying we acknowledge that we have no power to bring about things we desire as a nation, but God has.
3. Seek God’s face: Desiring to know His plan and purpose for Nigeria, conforming our will to His
4. Turn from our wicked ways: God expects us as a nation to love Him and to love ourselves, and to abstain from all kind of wickedness, oppression, embezzlement, rioting, corruption and the like.

In return He promised to hear us from heaven when we call on Him, to forgive us all our sins, even the sins of our ancestors, and past leaders, to cleanse the nation from the shed blood of the innocent and to take away the curses all these menace are bringing upon us. He promise to heal our land from wickedness, from wicked and unreasonable men and women, from occultism and secret societies, from saboteurs and haters of this great nation, from corruption, and from bad, corrupt and selfish leaders and followers. God is the solution we seek.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance”

At 50 we are suppose to have a well of knowledge, experience and resources that equals the value and dignity of gold. That is why 50 is regarded as golden jubilee. But we are not there yet due to some challenges.

AWAKE OH YE LEADERS OF OUR GREAT NATION
Are you a leader or a ruler? Whatever way it is that brought you into leadership was permit and allowed by God. If He had wanted to stop you from becoming who you in the affairs of this nation nothing would have been able to stop Him, not even you connection nor the wealth you have immersed neither can the group/cult you belong to be able to stop Him.

The spirit of Greed and selfishness is at work in the lives of most of our leaders and so they do not have the interest of the country and her citizenry at heart, they only care about what the stand to gain. Nigeria is richly blessed by God with both natural and human resources enough to free us as a nation from poverty. “There is enough for everyone’s need, but there is not and will never be enough for everyone’s greed – greed is like an ocean that never gets satisfied. That explains why our leaders keep selling our inheritance and deposit the proceeds in Swiss banks even with all the unnamed investments and properties the have in and outside the country. Most nations became great because of what their fathers and predecessors left for them, what are you as a leader planning to leave behind for the next generation? After you embezzle and immerse our wealth to yourselves alone what will be left for your fellow Nigerians and for our children yet unborn.

The resources we have in this nation were given to us by God and for the benefit of us all and not for few privileged individuals. The resources are meant to be use in order to please the Giver and for the purpose for which they were given. Our leaders do not regard God, they do not pay attention to the cry of the suffering masses. They eat and celebrate when they ought to be working. They do nothing in order; turn night into day, and day into night; sleep when they should wake, and wake when they should sleep; attending more to chambering and banqueting, than to the concerns of the state of the nation and her citizenry.

Those who fought for the independence of this nation were not selfish; we always sang that “the labors of our heroes past shall never be in vain”. Their labors will be in vain if our current leaders only cares about themselves and their family members, it will all be in vain if the growth and development of every sector within the nation is not the priority of the present leaders, it will all be in vain if we fight and kill each other for what RIGHTFULLY belongs to US ALL. But their labors will never be in vain if we love each other and the prosperity of our great nation. Consider making the Nigerian society a better place for everyone.

Here is a message for all our leaders; God spoke in the scriptures with these words: “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue: He who sacrifices thank offering honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God”.

You have forgotten the God that created you and have sinned against Him, He has marked down all your iniquities, and has them in order to exhibit against you. Beware, lest He tear you to pieces and there will be no one to deliver you. Acknowledge Him as God today before is too late. If you will not listen to the cry of the suffering masses God who is merciful will listen to their cry and avenge them. Let’s hope you are not among those making them to cry.

“Because he has oppressed and has forsaken the poor; because he has violently taken away an house which he builded not; sure he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired”. Be warn!

AWAKE OH YE CITIZENS OF OUR GREAT NATION
Where is the fervent love for our great nation? Where are our acts of Patriotism? In America, every one individual defends the nation in all matters that are right and are willing to die to save the image and prosperity of the nation. They not only say “I love America” they in addition act practically in love toward the nation, we can literally see it on them each time we draw close to them.

The only country we have is Nigeria, outside here we are strangers, whether we acquire right of citizenship in other country, by natural birth we are citizens of Nigeria and nothing can change that. All that our country needs to make her appreciable, desirable and comfortable is within not outside. All the man power, machineries, natural resources and equipment are all available in the country. The problem is that you and I have not been able to properly use these resources very well and so it seems as if they are not here even though they are.

Lets start from somewhere, the scripture says: “Righteousness exalt a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”.

Sin is a reproach to any people – it is the curse and scandal of man, it makes the people wretched and their spirit widely different. But righteousness upholds us, binds us together and enhances our productivity. United we stand but divided we fall. What God is saying is that we need righteousness not corruption, not being selfish, not being wicked and sinful.

Our fathers during slave trade exchanged their sons/daughters for bottle of whisky. And this mentality is still been perpetrated till today, this must stop! As a citizen of this great nation you have a duty to perform, and you have to do it even when there is no one there to congratulate or appreciate you. What you need to do, do it cheerfully. In doing what you are suppose to do, you deserve no praise, but the one that sees all the good you are doing in the secret will reward you in the open. If you awake in your duties as a citizen, you will sleep in peace and awake in glory. For our tomorrow to be better we will have to sacrifice a lot of things today, we will need to suffer what we ought to suffer today for our children not to suffer it again, we will need to fight today so that our children wouldn’t have to fight again tomorrow, what we lack today our children should not lack tomorrow, the inheritance we do not have today our children should have it tomorrow. Let there be no fear or intimidation, for whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well.

I charge all Nigerians today to be Righteous for the future of our great nation and for that of our children yet unborn. I urge you to exhibit love for the nation and toward fellow Nigerians. Pray for our country and her leaders rather than criticize and revolt. Say no when necessary and stand in integrity. Do not sell your children for a plate of porridge; do not send your children abroad for prostitution. Be dutiful, be patriotic.

BE WARE YE SABOTEURS AND HATERS OF OUR GREAT NATION

Do you enrich yourself at the detriment of our country, do you embezzle the fund meant for the masses and the development of our country, and are you responsible for any of the bad roads we have in the country which have led to the death of thousands of people. Thousands die daily in our hospitals due to inadequate and substandard drugs and equipments; and in most cases the drugs and needed equipments are not there. What happen to the allocations meant for our hospitals which are in a state of derision? What happen to our schools, the poor cannot go to school because the fees are too high, the rich are sending their wards to school abroad and you don’t seems to bother while all fingers are pointing at you. Are you master minding the plot to cause crisis in the country? Are you the brain behind the plot to cause division in the country? Are you the road block to the transformation and revolution of our power and energy sector? Are you benefiting as our democracy fledged and deteriorate? Are you manipulating our electorate system and processes? Are the people of Nigeria suffering because of your selfishness, greed and wicked heart, watch out, God is on your tail.

Here is a warning for you:
“For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God. He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways: So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted”.

God is the judge of all and the defender of the defenseless, the listener to the cry of the suffering masses, the father to the fatherless, and the husband to the widow. And He is the avenger of the innocent and afflicted. Be warn, for God is not a respecter of any man.

ARISE YE LOVERS OF NIGERIA AND MAKE HER GREAT

Pray and support the transformation and revolution of our power and energy sector, pray and support the government and government officials manning the power and energy sector. Pray against negative forces, ideas and policies that have worked against progress in that sector. Pray for our country, her leaders and the different sectors of the economy.

Don’t accept the status quo, don’t accept bribe. Our country needs problem-solvers who will make new discoveries and proffer new thoughts and ideologies that will move the nation forward. You have been called to serve God and mankind. God is mindful of and concern about people more than anything else. Greed has stopped many from serving their nation and people as they should. Don’t let that be your story. Don’t let the desire for excessive and inordinate gain be your driving force in life. You may be a policeman, civil servant, a politician, etc together we can make Nigeria great. Vote credible leaders, shun violence, and embrace peace. Make the forth coming election free and fair.

Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Happy Independence, Happy Golden Jubilee!
