Surviving a Bad Economy-part One

Some decades ago, cost of living was much cheaper than this so called 20th century. Our fore fathers were able to carter for their family needs despite the fact they had many wives and children, they still took care of their responsibilities as head family, they fed their household, provided shelter etc. though, they were mainly peasant farmers, they learned the act of preservation and storage. They maintained yams barns etc for the rainy days and with this, their families fed well all through till another farming season.

The 20th century brought about over dependence on importation and oil which lead to negligence of agricultural sector and this resulted to mass poverty, where by food that was supposed to be readily available became a scarce commodity. The fact is that every one knows these days, times are not good, and they’re going to get worse.

The cost of living keeps going up, and unemployment has gone up in the last quarter not down. While the government of the day keeps telling us that the economy is in recovery, the rest of us still see it as a mirage. The government keeps spending like crazy, the rate of inflation keeps increasing like mad.

It has never been more important to begin taking steps to make sure that you and your family can survive this uncertain economic situation. Building a personal food bank will protect your self from ever-increasing food costs, or an unexpected job loss.

One of the things that you can do to prepare for an unforeseen financial crisis is learn how to preserve your own food and how to build a personal food bank to rid out tough times. It’s better to be well prepared and buy your food now before prices go up much higher. When those who eat up every thing quickly are struggling to make ends meets, you have secured a reliable food supply for your self and your family for some time to come. TerryOg.
