It is a fact of life that in any situation people find themselves, they try to do the best they can within the limited wisdom, knowledge or awareness at their disposal since no one person can be said to be a complete repository of knowledge or wisdom. People many times improve or do better only because they have learnt something new and become better positioned by reason of the new knowledge or awareness they have acquired.
A true awareness of the realities in life can only be facilitated by the possession of relevant or necessary faculty or equipment with which those realities can be detected and substantiated. Consider the very real presence of useful electromagnetic waves, like the radio waves all around us in our daily lives, which is virtually undetectable to all the sense organs of the normal physical human body, but are easily detected and utilized with relevant equipment. Consider also the limitation of some of the people around us who have impaired functions of one or more of their physical sense organs, like the colour-blind person who lacks the capacity to distinguish between different hues; he has no ability to understand or even detect red, blue, yellow etc. To such a person, the very reality and existence of red, blue yellow or green is unthinkable or unfathomable, simply because he lacks the faculty or equipment with which to substantiate such realities. So the colours though real and useful in themselves, remain totally unreal, meaningless and unbeneficial to him. The same is also applicable to the deaf who lacks the faculty to substantiate sound and so is unable to imagine or accept the reality of sound, talk less of music.
It is practically impossible to wish or resist away realities! For instance the wish or declaration that the sun will neither rise nor set tomorrow can never stop the sun from rising or setting. Even belief is not not enough. The bane of mankind has been the error of resisting or even suppressing the truth or reality they do not possess the faculty or equipment to substantiate. The inability of people to understand this fact actually checkmates their effective participation in the spiritual and also ensures the forfeiture of their spiritual inheritance.
Life is spiritual. It is entirely impossible to isolate life from the body using any physical means. At physical death, life is actually isolated from the intact material body. Life, outside the material body, just like other spiritual phenomena, can only be detected or substantiated by the Living alone and never by the Active Dead.
The only faculty that can facilitate the substantiation of life and the very real and infinitely beneficial spiritual realm is called Faith!
There are only two basic categories of people that constitute the entire human population of the world today. They are; the Living and the Active Dead.The primary difference between the Living and the Active Dead is in their different sources of life. This is manifested in the awareness and participation or involvement of the Living in the operation of the eternal spiritual realm. True wisdom is easily accessible only to the Living at source, but the Active Dead actually do benefit indirectly. True wisdom is certainly not synonymous with carnal intelligence.
The creator of the universe is waiting for mankind to come to terms, not just with the awareness or knowledge of truth and reality, but also to see the dire necessity of entering into a living relationship with Him! This indeed is the only true and proper foundation for building the most satisfying and rewarding of all human relationships!
