I often get inspired every time i watch a red carpet event. Be it, the oscars, grammy’s, or the mtv awards. There is always that feeling of glamour, beauty, and sexy. The walks down the carpet, the pose for the photographers, and the smiles, all rolled in gives my inner being reason to dream.
At times, i wonder, what it feels like to spend over three weeks shopping for the perfect dress, picked up in a chauffeur driven limo, welcomed to the event by screaming fans who are choking on each other just to get a picture of you(some times an autograph). Then, amist the flashes from varoius camera’s , then comes the interview where you are given a platform to proudly announce to the world what you are wearing.
The next day i turn to E!, to discover that the dress which i thought was lovely, is rated a 1, simply because someone thought it looked like some thing made from her mothers couch, or a shower curtain.
The beautiful hair do becomes a hair don’t, and those lovely stiletto shoes turns out to be suicidal. Common, give me a break! Who decides this things, i mean who gave them to right to out rightly condemn an outfit(except for those ones that are obviously wrong). If they actaully love being negative , they could stand on the street and make comments on every girl that pass by.
My point is this, in our every day lives we all commit one fashion offense(sometimes two)or the other, and we don’t place our selves in front of the world to be judged . So, why don’t we give the celebrities a break, i’m pretty sure a couple of them just want to live a normal live. Like my cousin will say,”all of us they work, some na for office, some na for street, their own na for TV”.
