Have you ever been caught in a real tricky situation and just don’t know how to handle it? You are not alone. Good news though, I’ve read, researched and investigated and come up with a few possible solutions. I have to warn you though; the solutions are hypothetical so there are no guarantees. But you can try them out so we can decide conclusively if they are good or not.
Situation No 1, you fart (unintentionally) in the presence of your male colleagues/ friends: There’s just one word to describe this, embarrassing. Yes, totally, highly embarrassing. You and everyone present are placed in a very awkward situation. So here’s what I suggest; smile and say, oops, I’m sorry, I really didn’t ‘feel’ that coming. Then excuse yourself immediately. For God’s sake, don’t want to make the situation more awkward by letting the unpleasant smell diffuse in their midst.
Situation No 2, another girl unashamedly comes after your man in your presence: Some ladies just don’t care. They’ll flirt with your man right before your eyes and even throw themselves at him. Don’t sweat it. Pull your face into the tightest scowl and growl. Then place your hand possessively on his arm, whisper anything into his ears, pull back, look at him and smile, then return your attention to the lady. Bare your teeth and growl really, really loudly. Hopefully, she’ll get the message.
Situation No 3, you laugh at a comment: and then realize too late that whatever was said wasn’t even funny and everyone stares strangely at you like you just landed from Mars. So you goofed. You either come up with something funny and lighten up the mood, or stare back strangely and wonder how they lack a sense of humour. You decide.
Situation No 4, you tell a joke which no one finds funny: the few persons that manage a really fake laugh do so just to make you feel less awkward and only succeed in making you feel more ill at ease. You can go, ‘oh well, that really wasn’t so funny’ or just join in the fake laughter.
Situation No 5, your folks catch you making out with a guy in the street corner: You are on your own!!!
