If there is one thing we must never learn, it is ‘look down on ourselves’ because our present state does not determine our future. This is a very vital point constantly emphasised in my article “more than meets the eyes”. The fact that many have refused to learn the point above has led to the frustration of a large number of potentially great lives.
As a popular saying goes “a mission truly understood is a mission half- fulfilled”. We need to understand that our creator has given us as gifts to a troubled generation. The full reality of this fact would make us live our lives as if a whole generation depended on it. Where ever you find yourself, whatever you find yourself doing, do it as if the very existence of all of humanity depends on it. In our world today, rather than waste our time on frivolities that are less beneficial, let us work to improve the lot of humanity, so that when we take our leave , the next generation would appreciate us like we appreciate the generation of scientists such as Isaac Newton, Leibniz, Alfred Nobel and the others who either contributed to the improvement of humanity’s lot or tried to right the wrongs done to humanity.
We are meant to liberate our generation by trying to solve problems facing our generation such as AIDS, Cancer, Sickle cell anaemia and various other things plaguing or common existence. No one is too small to small or too dull to come up with a solution, that is if you and I both contribute our quota of research; we will soon find out that with united hands, we can solve our problems, effectively leaving a better world for the unborn generation.
