In New dehi India, Nigeria atheletes were showered with bonuses and the shoping malls in the Yamuna bank area of New delhi turned to market place. This was as a result of the national sports commission rewarded all the atheletes that achieved excellent result in the games. The gold medalist were rewarded with 5,800 dollars, silver medalist got 3,800 dollars, while the bronze winners got 2,500 dollars for their effort. All other atheletes who reached the finals and the semi-finals of the their events got 800 dollars and 500 dollars respectively. The coaches were not left behind in this dollar rains. Those whose their atheletes won gold receive 6,000 dollars. Nigeria atheletes had done the country proud, and won 12 gold so far.
