On my 2009 birthday
I made a mistake, I blinked
When I opened my eyes
It was 2010, February 20
I instinctually knew I had grown
I woke up very old this morning
I knew I had grown
faster in the past one year
Than all my time on here
I dashed to the mirror in the corridor and
Checked my hairs for grays
None was there, I sighed
I remembered
I have lost and won
Smiled and cried
I have been in love and so on
I saw kindness
Even wickedness
I was serious and unserious
Sometimes I feel I don’t belong
I concluded you can’t be too serious
With this life;
Our world is a play stage
Life is a transitory comedy
Where all actors like God’s sun
Must rise then set.
