Tuesday, August 10, 2010. The National Universities Commission’s Committee on Monitoring of Private Universities (COMPU) paid a Monitoring and Quality Assurance visit to Veritas University at the Take-off Campus in Obehie, Abia State.
The NUC Monitoring Team led by Professor Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu met with the Vice Chancellor, Fr. Prof. Justin S. Ukpong in his office, where they made clear their mission in the University.
Welcoming the team, the Vice Chancellor informed the NUC Committee that Veritas University is anchored on quality assurance and that the University had attended several international workshops on quality assurance, noting specifically that Veritas University was one of the 12 higher institutions involved in the pilot project of the African Catholic Universities Quality Assurance Agency (ACUQA).
The monitoring team met with the University officials and staff as well as inspection of the University Library, lecture theatres, laboratories, staff offices, and equipment after looking at the academic brief of the University and other requested documents of the University.
