SEDUCTION: AN ART, ACT OR TACT

Modern scientists have proven that every living thing on earth have feelings; man, animals and even plants; feelings that can control and be controlled. Some people cannot control their feelings and they depend on someone to lead and control them, hence we have leaders and followers. Seduction is a form of charm and people want to be led (to where they have never been), they yearn to be seduced.

The origin of the word “seduction” is the Latin for “to lead astray”. But the origin of the word has given the word “seduction” a bad name, but in its real context, seduction is a very powerful tool that the world yearns to possess.

We all have the power of attraction – the ability to draw people and hold them in our thrall. This is the beginning of seduction – attracting people to you, because of your qualities, personality or charisma. Everyone wants to be seduced. Everyone wants someone they can call their hero or idol. Everyone wants to be led.

The concept of seduction in this column is not to lead astray as the original meaning suggests but to equip you with the powers to use your qualities and person to attract attention to your benefits. However, the origin of the word, and some of those who have applied its rules may have sent a wrong signal, but seduction is been applied today by all and sundry in their daily lives. Take for example, today; no political campaign can work without seduction. The “Change” slogan by Obama’s campaign team seduced not only Americans but the world, to accept change when the time is right.

Seduction is a special kind of power to control and lead people: politicians and public speakers yearn to have it, marketers yearn to grab it, advertisers die to possess it, footballers strive to apply it and the world is proud to have such powers.

Seduction whether an art, act or tact must follow some certain rules, but before applying those rules, one must be aware of his inner potentials. Far from all of us though are aware of this inner potential (the power to lead and control) and we imagine seduction (attractiveness) instead as a near-mystical trait that a select few are born with and the rest will never command. Yet, what is left only for us to do is to realize in our inner potentials (qualities) what attracts and excites people around us and develop these qualities.

This column will treat “Seduction” as an art, act and tact with relevant history and present illustrations with concrete analysis: the rules and its applications, people who can apply certain rules in their daily lives and professions and the power to resist been led astray.

Seduction has rules and applications. You know you will not seduce anyone by simply depending on your engaging personality, qualities or by occasionally doing something noble and alluring. Seduction is a process that works with time and other factors. By taking time and respecting the rules, you will not only break down resistances, you will lead people and crowds.

The power to seduce is available to everyone to apply in their everyday lives, ranging from their profession, academics to their love lives. The power to control and lead is available to all: big or small, rich or poor, literate or illiterate, black or white.
