Lagos doctors refused to call off-strike.

Attempts to resolve the nine-week old strike embarked upon by the lagos residents doctors ended in deadlock on monday as 292 of 376 members of the medical guild voted for the continuation of the strike, 13 abstained, while 71 voted for discontinuation of the strike at the emergency  meeting organized by the lagos state chapter, NMGC at lagos state university teaching hospital in lagos on monday. Meanwhile, dr Williams said that the congress would be going by the decision of the majority of the members as the state government had refused to negotiate with them, in spite of the guilds several attempts to reach a compromise with them. For the sake of the dying patients, am appealing to the government and the striking doctors to resolve this issue, so that the doctors will return to the hospitals.
