Do you wonder why some people are fat, and others slim? Wonder why some healthy, others pale and sick? There is a problem. What is it? I went to a boarding secondary school where the best food we ate was only on Sundays-Bread and egg for breakfast, Jollof rice and peanut-sized meat for lunch and Eba with peanut-sized meat vegetable soup for dinner. The rest days we ate tiny foods like prisoners. When I came back for my holiday, I was looking so thin, pale, sick, infact, I was a walking bone. This is a sign of malnutrition. How then can we eat healthily?
First, eat a good breakfast, including unrefined cereals and eliminate between-meal snacks. As far as possible, remove empty and refined caloris from the diet. Avoid the use of free sugar and cut down on the hidden sugars in desserts-ice cream, chocolate, cake pie-, jam soft drinks or fruit drinks (use pure fruit juices), tinned fruit (use fresh fruit), and tinned food. Avoid alcoholic drinks. Have enough rest and eat a balanced diet. It is preferable to eat little in the morning, much at lunch and very little or none at dinner.
Remember, we are what we eat. Since I started eating well balanced foods and fruits, I have fully recovered and regained my strength. At a time, I became very weak but when I continued, It really worked.
Are you suffering from malnutrition?, Do you want to be hale and healthy?, then continue eating well balanced foods and fruits.
