Woman beaten up for alleged adultery
A 30 year old lady. Miss Rose Nengem, was cut with a razor blade by a married woman, who accused her of dating her husband.
The 33 year-old husband, Mr. Achwen Tersoo, was also beaten up by soldiers.
Mrs. Doom Tersoo. 23, was tortured by the soldiers for taking laws into her hands.
The incident occurred on Friday in Gayam, Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba State.
An eye witness said: “She attacked the concubine with new razor blades and cut her body severely, after over powering her.
“Doom gave the concubine razor cuts on the face, laps, back, breasts, buttocks, and everywhere.
“She would have killed the woman, but for the intervention of soldiers on guard in the area.
“Rose is recuperating in the hospital, while Tersoo and his wife are in police custody.”
Mrs. Tersoo said her husband had been cheating on her and she was worried that Rose might snatch him from her.
She said: “He went to the market on Thursday and did not come back. I discovered on Friday morning that he spent the night with Rose, so I went to attack her.
