Have you ever thought of the dangers involved in sign up to a friendship site? Have you ever thought this could expose you to danger?
This is not to discourage you from joining a friendship or dating but to inform you on habits to avoid:
1. Never use the same information you use in your bank or secure information: avoid answering question like “what your mother’s maiden name?” banks use this as security codes also.
2. Don’t live your physical contact: you can state your location in general terms like: Apapa, Ikeja, ikoyi but avoid full detail like: 5, Ijaiye rd, flat 2. Mushin, Lagos.
3. Avoid posting of indecent pictures: this speaks a lot about you and make people form poor opinion of who you are.
4. Never divulge information on bank, security, insurance, car plate or home phone number: this can be used in defrauding
or tracking you easily
5. Never give too much details of your movement: “off to New York for shopping: just leaving for the airport”, “just checking into my hotel room, room 54 Eko suites”. You are probably inviting people to rob you.
Most of us accept people we don’t know on our pages who have access to all we write and say, so we need to stay save and secure.
