35 FACTS ABOUT SICKNESS AND HEALING
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2
1. Health was natural and eternal before the fall (Gen. 1:26-31, 2:17)
2. Both death and sickness originated with sin and are now being propagated by satan (Rom. 5:12-21, Job 2:6-7, Lk. 13:16, Jn. 10:10; Acts 10:38; 1Jn. 3:8)
3. The first prophecy and promise of redemption include healing (Gen. 3:15; Isa. 53:5; Mat. 8:16-17; 1Pet. 2:24)
4. The first recorded bodily affliction came though wrongdoing (Gen. 20:1-18)
5. The first recorded healing was by the prayer of a prophet (Gen. 20:7, 17)
6. God made covenants with His people to heal them (Ex. 15:26;23:25; Lev. 26; Dt28; Mt. 8:17; 1Pet. 2:24; Jas. 5:14)
7. God has always kept His covenants and has healed multitudes by spiritual means (Ps. 103:3; 105:37; 107:20; Acts 10:38)

Thus it is clear in Scripture that bodily healing is provided for in the Old and New Testaments. The New Testament is based upon better promises than the Old Testament. (Heb. 8:6).
