An online business is the most affordable type of business for anyone to
start for the following reasons:
 It does not require a whole lot of money to get started or even no
money
 One can get started immediately
 No sharing of your profits. You make the money, you keep the money
 No websites required (more about this later)
 No employees needed
 No overhead
 One can work anywhere, anytime
 No office required
 Tax breaks for working from home
And the list goes on. I assume you get the big picture. So now that we’ve covered that,
what do you need to start an online business?
Here’s a brief overview of the steps you need to take in order to start and grow a
profitable online business. They are:
1. Find a hungry niche market — BEFORE you decide what to sell
2. Write compelling salescopy that draws in your visitors
3. Design a winning site that converts visitors into buyers
4. Use the ‘Net’s top search engines to drive tons of targeted traffic to your
site
5. Tap into secret sources of cheap (and even free!) traffic

turn them into buyers!

These are all very specific things you need to get started right, but the first step is the
most crucial of them all.
You need to fiind a hungry market
BEFORE you deciide what to sellll..
You will need to do market research so that you’ll know what people are searching
for. But not only that – you want to know if they’re not finding the solution to their
problem and without understanding how people search and exactly what phrases they
use in the search engines (like Google), you are going to have a tough time figuring this
out.
Market Research is a vital aspect to ensuring that you have a successful
online business. This in my eyes is the difference maker between success and failure
online.
Most marketers make the mistake of looking for a “hot product” to sell when they’re first
starting out online — and they end up choosing a product before they determine
whether there’s a market for it or not. And this is the reason the majority of Internet
start ups fail!
The fact is most people do NOT go online to buy. They go online looking for
information or to solve a problem. It’s always been like that and it always will be.
What you need to do is find an untapped niche market: a group of people who are going
online to solve a common problem, but are not having any luck finding a solution.
By doing some simple research, you can discover EXACTLY what these people
are looking for — and then figure out a way to give it to them. That way, you KNOW
you’ll have a market that’s eager to buy your product — before you even know what it is!
Once you’ve found a hungry niche market and come up with a product that will satisfy
their wants, then you can continue with the other steps needed to start your online
business. But to take this even further, instead of creating your own product or service which will
take time and some money, writing salessopy, building a website, etc., you can simply
affiliate yourself to other people’s products and services that will be a perfect
fit for your market of choice and you’ll save tons of time and money.
This way you’ll be able to focus on the marketing part which in my opinion is the most
fun of all and the other companies you promote products for will do all the selling,
customer support, etc. for you and send you a commission check each week or month.
But… Do you know what’’s better then allll of that?
Before you waste your time creating a product or service and building such a business,
you get to test the market with an affiliate product to see if it’s a good market after all.
And if not, at least you didn’t waste much time and money.
But it gets even better… If the product or service you promote happens to be the
perfect fit and is generating a good income with the commissions you get, all you simply
have to do is re-create it into your own product, write the salescopy, and build your
website, etc. using some of the money you made and you will then be keeping all the
profits for yourself.
