The essence of altar is a topic that sounds quite religious yet very practical. In reality, the altar has its many significance to almost every religious sect especially because it often serves as the centre of all religious ceremony.
Something about the altar very significant to a man much more from the Christian perspective now, is that when a man comes into being, the three main ceremonies that take place in his life are often times performed at the altar. These are when a man is born, he is taken to the altar for consecration; When he is about to get married, once again he comes to the altar for solemnization; and finally when he is to be buried, he is brought back to the altar for the last time, for final burial rites or what you may call a commendation to the great beyond.
This in essence portrays the altar as a very important aspect of the human life, because this icon witnesses the beginning, the middle, and the end of the human life. All of these earlier established facts point out the fact that is a holy platform which seemingly empowers every word that is spoken from it probably holding an access to life and death, and so it is advised that every word spoken from this platform be positive as much as is possible.
Talking about being positive, the altar itself does not speak, but has an immeasurable amount of authority often acting as a seal on every word spoken from it whether consciously or otherwise. It is therefore pertinent to think and thereby speak positively all the time, because one may never know when you would find yourself at the altar.
The altar holds an iconic importance like no other in the human life literally holding the key to life and death.
