If I were a woman

The Holy Book says that woman means ‘taken from man’. But this does not mean that she should be treated like a tool. I wonder how many men who treat women badly come to consider this simple fact: what if I were a woman. If I were a woman, would I enjoy the ill-treatment I give to women? If I were a woman, would I be happy to see my husband leave all the house chores for me? If I were a woman, would I be happy to see my in-laws take all that I have built with my late husband? And ultimately, if I were a woman, would I not want to experience the utter feeling of sexual ecstasy/orgasm?

God make me a woman

Apparently, those on top do not want to know how it feels to be down. Women are ‘very human’ like men and they ought to be treated well. A man once asked God to make him a woman because he felt his wife was enjoying too much while he ‘labored’ for the family. God granted him his wish; the next day he woke up as a woman (wife) while his wife woke up as a man (husband). She had to wake up as early as 5.00am to clean the house, make breakfast, bathe her children and make provisions for the ‘new’ husband to have his bath on time before proceeding to the office.

While she dressed her children for school, having given them breakfast, her husband called her to make his tie for him. By the time she finished, her children were calling out to her: ‘Mummy, we are late’. When she returned home, she had laundry to do and some shopping too. Before she could finish those, she realized she has not begun cooking lunch yet. Half way with the lunch, she had to hurry to her children’s school to pick them up. If not that her gas cooker had a thermostat, she would have burnt the food and may be the house.

Evening came so fast. She had to make dinner and also assist her children with their homework. When her husband returned from work, he did not assist her with the chores; instead he asked her: ‘is dinner ready yet?… Okay, bring me a cup of coffee while I wait.’ Finally, the dinner was ready but she had to feed her children first before she ate. Having sung them to sleep, she felt so exhausted. But there still remained one very important ritual: having sex with her husband. Her husband had no time for foreplay which would have helped to lubricate her vagina properly. About five minutes later he climaxed. As post coital nap took him, he left his wife used and spent not minding whether she also got an orgasm.

That night, this woman fervently asked God for forgiveness for looking down on his wife. He also asked God to change him back into a man promising that he will treat his wife well from henceforth. But God said ‘that would be after nine months because you have just conceived.’

Frankly, if I were a woman, I would want to be treated well.
