THE CONCEPT OF PRICE TAGS (KNOW YOUR WORTH)

When was the last time you entered a supermarket, picked a commodity and took it to the cashier to negotiate the price? Your answer is definitely- never. Is it because it is impossible to pick the commodity from the shelf and find your way to the cashier’s counter? No! Is it because you are restricted by security? Absolutely not! The only reason is the price tag it carries. The price tag is so little yet so significant. It gives more information about the worth of a product than the cashier or whosoever is in-charge of sales can ever give. It tells the customer the price of the product without altering a word. It carries numbers that tells you the monetary worth without giving any opportunity for a negotiation. Let’s take a look at few of the advantages of using a price tag.

It gives the monetary value of the product/commodity.
It is precise; it is sure of its information without wavering.
It does not give room for negotiation.
It shares time and energy by passing the required information about price in the shortest of time and as effortlessly as possible.
It makes the work of the cashier or salesman easier.

You would also agree with me that people seem to appreciate products with price tags better than products without it. Some customers seem to prefer buying goods from that supermarket who does not give room for any negotiation about its goods. People seems to like it if you are sure of what you are saying and that is exactly what a price tag does the most.

A man once had the choice of buying a perfume from a road-side store and a supermarket. He decided to stop at the road-side store first. He was told the perfume was N1000 which of course he negotiated to N800. Even though this particular road-side salesman was reputable for his high quality goods, he still decided to go for the supermarket price of N1050. Why?
People seem to be more convenient with precision and exactness. They seem to be happier with you when you seem to know what you are saying and ready to stand by it. If a price tag were a person, then with its qualities, he would be the most successful human on earth. Can you argue with a price tag?

The moral of this is – know your worth and carry it around proudly. Don’t settle for less for any reason. Don’t allow people to push you around. Be precise and exact. The moment you negotiate your worth then you are worthless. Know your worth and stand by it.
