Dr Sid finally makes a “TURNING POINT” in his music career. After sojourning from Trybes records to Sto
rm and a Dentistry Degree in-between, he seems to have found home in the Mo’hits family.
The album “turning point” can best be described as a mashed Pop album. Don Jazzy does not do the extraordinary on the beats but does enough to maintain his no status. His sassy singing is on most of the choruses and hooks. “something about you” remains the stand out hit of the album, where Dr Sid just rides effortlessly on the beat. Baby is also a brilliant. The tracks on which he does not
have any member of the Mo’hits family assisting seem to be the best.
The album kicks off with Sid reminiscing his first passion: dance! Dr Sid actually started out as a dancer for the Trybesmen! “u can never beat on the dance floor” goes the catchy hook. Over the moon, dulls us a bit, then the monster hit “something about you” brings us back to life. from this point on the album is on an upward beat. On eje ka jo with eldee et all Sidney shows us he can still flow. On the whole it is not a bad effort for long awaited debut! 3/5
