The mind of man is a great creature of God. It is awesome! If well used, it could be ones greatest wealth! Someone once said, “The mind of the matter is the matter of the mind.” What is available to the great, rich man is made available to you. But you don’t put it to use. Probably because you don’t know its value. A rich man might have a long nose while your is broad, he doesn’t think with his nose; a great man’s skin might be pinky while yours is dark, he doesn’t think with his skin.
What every rich and great man has is their great mind! Happily, this same mind is made available to you by nature! Only that you have yet to master yours. But I have a good news for you, the mind has got a switch; once you’re ready, it follows the course you chart it after. In the hierarchy of operations, you have the power to control your mind but your mind is the compass that gives direction to your life.
The mind of a man works like a camera; it has a processing faculty that prints out whatever thought that is transferred into it. The mind is the seat of thoughts and imaginations. These thoughts and imaginations are the key factors that give our lives the bearing that they have now and later. Ones life can never be better than the quality of his thoughts and imaginations. The Bible says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!” We are the products of what goes on in our mind. The major problem of many people is not lack of money or skill; it is lack of positive mental attitude! That is why this principle says: “the totality of a man’s personality is a product of his mentality.” What kind of thoughts dominate your mind? What do you imagine? How do you picture your future? God said to the united people at Babel, “and now, nothing shall be restrained from them which they have imagined to do.” This is the reason why it is said that, “whatever the mind can receive, conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
Let’s try to get it right in our mind. In the Bible, the heart and the mind are used interchangeably. The words, HEART and the EARTH are spelt with the same combination of letters. What happens in the HEART determines what happens on the EARTH. Assess your life! You are where you are in your heart. I reiterate the golden scripture: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!”
From today, reshapen your thought pattern. Our bodies are nourished by the food we eat but our mind feeds on our thoughts and imaginations. And you know, when the body is malnourished, sickness and diseases become the story. The financial, mental, marital and economical sicknesses of many are as a result of what they feed their minds with. Resolve to begin to feed your heart and mind with healthy thoughts and qualitative information. Sam Adeyemi posited that, “the quality of a people’s life can never be better than the quality of their thoughts and the quality of information available to them.”
Begin to exploit the great power of the mind. Create your own world by thinking brilliant thoughts and following it up with action. Whatevert your mind can vividly IMAGINE, sincerely BELIEVE and enthusiastically ACT UPON, must inevitably COME TO PASS.
